HISTORY

The Windows operating system was launched by Microsoft in 1985 and has been the most popular and friendly operating system ever since.  It was the first graphical user interface operating system launched by Microsoft for IBM compatible computers using MS-DOS. Launched in 1984, the Windows operating system began to dominate the operating system market, surpassing its competitor Mac OS.

The main advantage of the Windows operating system is that it is user-friendly. Its revolutionized desktop computers and made it accessible to the average user without any complications. The Windows operating system provides a handful of tools, such as Microsoft Office, which make computers very useful.






EVOLUTION

  • The first version to be launched in 1985 was Windows 1.0.

    • Windows Vista,
    • Windows 7, 
    • Windows 8, & 
    • Windows 10 were released, and
  • The latest sensational version is Windows 10. It has not been released yet.
